Sclerotherapy is our treatment of choice for the majority of leg veins at our office. Sclerotherapy is done by injecting a small amount of sclerosing agent into the veins, which causes them to collapse and therefore fade. Some bruising or brown staining may occur. Laser may be used to treat very small veins. Several treatments may be necessary. The physician who does the leg vein treatments is a member of The American College of Phlebology.
